***There are no more meetings until April 2012***
The FSS Grandparent Autism Support Group is a group of grandparents, caregivers, and persons interested in the needs of grandchildren with autism. Members will learn about autism and how it impacts their grandchild.
Grandparents will learn about autism through educational presentations by professionals in the disability field. Members will also learn how autism impacts their role as a grandparent. Grandparents will learn effective ways to interact and guide their grandchildren.
In addition to professional presentations on developmental disabilities, grandparents will have on-going opportunities to share the joys and challenges they face as the grandparent of a grandchild with autism.
Please join us! We welcome visitors and new members! Evening meetings are held at the Barber National Institute. To learn more about The FSS Grandparent Autism Support Group and information on upcoming meetings, please call Joyce Krahe McDonnell at 814-878-5905 or the FSS Office at 814-878-5961.
