Students to elementary level in these programs are provided with a continuum of services focusing on self help and basic readiness skills. Middle and high school level students focus on prevocational, practical work skills as well as recreation and leisure based skills. The primary goal of the program is to develop each students cognitive, social, motor, behavioral and vocational potential to increase independent functioning and to allow maximum participation in their lives. The curriculum in inclusive, flexible, and provides learning that is active, coherent and social.
Adaptations are made to materials, techniques, classroom environment and equipment to obtain success.
