Barber Beast on the Bay |

Barber Beast on the Bay is a new extreme obstacle course challenge that will be held Saturday, Sept. 7 at Presque Isle State Park. Course options are offered for 4, 6, 8 and 12 mile routes with obstacles designed by a former U.S. Navy SEAL. In addition, the Maureen Riazzi Adapted Course will be offered for adults with disabilities. Proceeds benefit the Barber National Institute to help make dreams come true for children and adults with autism and other disabilities. Three judges from the local arts community reviewed the more than 400 pieces of artwork featured in this year’s show that included sculptures, paintings and mixed media. Awards were presented in the categories of professional adult artist, amateur adult artist, and youth. New this year was a separate awards category for photography. |
